Browser Processing Disclaimer
Image conversion and compression results are produced by your local web browser's graphics rendering and encoding engine (HTML5 Canvas). Output image characteristics, including exact byte size, color reproduction, and alpha transparency rendering, may vary slightly between different browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge) and operating systems.
Lossy Compression Trade-Offs
When utilizing lossy formats such as JPEG or lossy WebP, visual compression algorithms selectively discard fine pixel variations to reduce file size. While settings between 75% and 90% produce visually lossless results to human perception under standard viewing conditions, high compression rates (below 50%) may result in noticeable artifacts. Users are advised to inspect output images before permanently discarding original high-resolution master files.
No Data Recovery
Because we do not upload or store any files on our servers, Image Tools cannot retrieve or restore previously converted files once your browser tab is closed. Always maintain local backups of important assets.
